Aid Astrid: The Girl with the Golden Heart

When our friend Astrid was in the 6th grade, her teacher, Mrs. Hester, told her that she was “the girl with the golden heart.” Now, our girl could use some help from us! Diagnosed with fallopian tube cancer, Astrid had surgery last week. The mass has been removed, but Astrid will have to undergo chemotherapy treatments through at least the end of the year.

She’ll be taking time off from her demanding job as a retail merchandiser. Her employer will only pay her about half her salary for the foreseeable future.

We’re reaching out to the community, (especially vintage-loving people in Portland and Seattle, where Astrid grew up) to ask for your help for the one who will always be the girl with the golden heart. Thank you!
