Aid Anthony's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

My name is Anthony, and unfortunately as of December 25th 2024 I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This came as a complete shock, I am not one who asks for help from others because I generally want to be the one to help others and let my pride get in the way when I truly need help. However after conversation with my doctors over the foreseeable future I will be having surgery to remove the cancerous part of my pancreas as well as have chemotherapy and radiation in combination.

As of writing this I am waiting to have a G.I surgeon perform a endoscopic biopsy so the doctors can get better images of the affected area of pancreas and get a tissue sample to know what stage the cancer is at. Hopefully I am below stage 4 because survivability goes up, but still is not guaranteed because pancreatic cancer is known as the incurable cancer because it usually is diagnosed in late stages. However I am staying positive that they caught it early and I will join the exclusive 10-15% that become disease free after treatment.

In August my brother and I found our mom suffering from heat stroke, completely unresponsive. We got an ambulance to take her to this hospital, where she was suffering from a 106 degree fever not knowing how long they intubated her. She was intubated for 14 days and I was informed she may die. I am her medical proxy, so to cope with this I started drinking, and after she survived I continued so I could cope with the pain I had for 10 months in December I quit cold turkey, the detox kicked my ass and that’s what brought me to the hospital. I got lucky as they found the pancreatic cancer due to this. I have vowed to never drink again and never will due to what my body has going on and I don’t want to ruin the surgeons hard work.

Any help is greatly appreciated and the goal set is probably extremely conservative because in reality I don’t how long I’m not going to be able to work. As I receive new information I will provide updates here, and be completely open about how I use the donations. Which as of now will be for things like treatment costs, rent, bills etc, until I am on my feet and capable of working again
