Aid Andrew's Taiwan Study Program

Hello, my name is Andrew Abbott. I am currently a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am pursuing an Environmental Studies and Chinese double major with a pre-business track. Chinese language and culture has been one of my passions ever since the first year of high school, and is something I wish to pursue even beyond my secondary education. I have made it my goal to become fluent in the language, and there is no better way to go about that than to study abroad. Because of this, I really hope to be able to travel to Taiwan this upcoming summer to participate in a study abroad program. While there, I will be able to sign a language pledge and only speak Chinese, live with local Taiwanese roommates, and take classes at the National Taiwan University (NTU). All of these benefits will ensure I get the most out of my time abroad and drastically improve my proficiency and fluency. I would truly love to go and learn more about Chinese, and I cannot do that without your help, so a donation would be extremely appreciated. Thank you very much for taking the time to hear my story.
