Aid Andrew's Journey to Recovery and Stability

Hello Everyone,

My name is Chris and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my closest friend and one of the kindest, most hard-working, and loyal people that I know, Andy S.. Andy and I have been friends ever since we met on our first day of college back in 2008. We have been through a lot together over the years and we have seen our fair share of ups and downs. He has been there for me through thick and thin and I am so grateful and so proud to have had Andy with me through some tough times. Now he needs my help.

On Friday night (8/9/24), Andy and our other friend Zach were the victims of a brutal assault. Zach managed to escape the attack with some minor injuries but Andy sustained heavy damage to his face and jaw. When Zach called me from the hospital, I rushed to meet them for an excruciating night in the emergency room. Andy's jaw is severely broken and pieces of his facial bones are misaligned. He will need to undergo reconstructive surgery to regain use of his broken jaw. Meanwhile he is in constant, immense pain.

We are making arrangements with the doctors but he is uncertain if he will be able to properly afford medical bills. Obviously he will not be able to work for some time and, aside from the medical expenses, our shared living costs have now become a great concern.

Andy is a fun, creative and insightful person and an active member of his community. As a guitarist and music teacher, he has enriched the lives of kids (and adults!) for the last 5 years as well as playing the occasional gig at local venues. He is also a student at Tacoma Community College, pursuing his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Of course, it is now uncertain if he will be able to complete his continued education.

In this difficult time, Andy has shown immense strength. He is facing all these difficulties with courage and determination. But he does not have to face them alone. With my help and yours, Andy will be able to get through this trial.

So I am asking for any help that you can give. ANY donation, big or small, will be appreciated beyond measure. And all proceeds will go directly towards his healing and recovery. And of course, spreading the word and share our page will also go a long way. My sincerest gratitude goes out to you all.
