Aid Andre's Recovery and Medical Expenses

Hi. I’m LaToya, and I am one of Andre’s big sisters. The past 4 months have been really tough for my brother. One day he woke up sick and unable to hold down his food. He just assumed it was something he ate, but he continued throwing up day after day. That’s when he started making one of many trips to the Urgent Care, ER, and his primary physician. He was told it was just a virus, given some meds, and sent on his way. The throwing up didn’t stop, so he kept going back.

At this point, he was also starting to lose weight, suffer from dehydration, fatigue, malnutrition and dizziness due to not being able to hold anything down. He was also unable to drive himself around anymore.

The doctors took his blood, tested him for Covid, diagnosed him with sinus and ear infections and Bell's palsy, sent him to a gastroenterologist, scoped his stomach, took a tissue sample of his stomach lining, gave him stomach meds, anti-nausea meds and antibiotics, and finally, after 4 months of finding nothing, gave him an MRI. That is when they discovered a mass on the back of his brain close to the spine. He was told it had been there for a while. This was the cause behind all of the sickness as well as all the medication given to him from all the misdiagnoses from the previous doctors.

Due to all the trips back and forth to the doctors and hospitals, he developed a pretty high set of medical bills. He has insurance, but they stopped covering his trips to the doctor due to there being so many.

Andre is an accredited photographer and has been unable to book any shoots due to his sickness as well. This means a substantial loss of income for him.

Andre is the type of person that will give you his last and is not the type to ask for help. So we’re doing it for him. Any donation will help. He is still currently in the hospital having more tests ran as well as waiting to see if he will need brain surgery or chemotherapy. The medical bills are steadily rising. He will have a long road to recovery ahead of him, and worrying about his bills is the last thing he needs to be thinking about.
