Aid Andrea's Financial Needs After a Brutal Attack
Donation protected
I am posting this for my daughter Andrea, a registered public health nurse who has been working to establish a nonprofit for the unhoused community in Minneapolis.
After arriving home Friday night after providing street outreach, she found an occupied vehicle blocking the entrance to her garage. After honking the horn several times, she was able to park and attempt to close the garage door. Four unknown individuals, two men and two women, followed her in and after a brief verbal altercation, they initiated a violent physical attack. The women eventually backed off, but the men continued beating, punching, kicking, and stomping on her body and face. At one point, they covered her in a tarp so she couldn't fight back and continued assaulting her.
She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and treated for injuries, but it will likely take weeks to recover.
As many of you know, Andrea has not been traditionally employed for the last year and a half, focusing instead on community outreach. Her job search is now interrupted awaiting healing. Her savings are depleted and she needs our help to cover medical and household expenses at this time. She has a difficult time asking for help, so I am sponsoring this effort to get her some support.
Every donation, big or small will go directly towards easing these stressful days as she recovers. we need to make sure she doesn't end up homeless as well.
Even if you cant donate, please hold her close. Her family is deeply grateful to you for your help and contribution.
We are so humbled and blown away by these generous donations for Andrea. It’s mind blowing to see this many responses and feel the community support. There are so many issues for people in general right know It warms my heart at the overwhelming response Thank You again, so much!!
