Hey there, I'm Bryan, Beth and Ricky's youngest son. Back in early October of this year, my mom found Ricky unresponsive in their home and took him to the emergency room at AdventHealth Orlando where he was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis. The doctors were able to treat and reverse the DKA, but it has resulted in some other lingering issues that have left his condition unmanageable at home and has caused him to remain at the hospital this whole time. The doctors and staff at the hospital are still trying to track down the underlying causes of these to treat and stabilize him to the point where his recovery can be managed at home.

Beth has been dutifully staying by his side in Orlando throughout all of this over the last 6+ weeks, which has come with its own expenses and demands for her time, including lodging near the hospital, meals, etc. At their request, I'm starting this Gofundme on their behalf to help assist with some of these additional medical and non-medical expenses that aren't covered by health insurance that are needed to support them during this time.

My mom, my brother and I, and members of our extended family are still fighting for Ricky every day to make sure he gets the care he needs to make a recovery and allow him to come home.
