My dear friend Amy lost her dad a year ago, and since then, she’s been overwhelmed by legal battles over his estate. She has an injunction against one aunt and has made numerous attempts to get protection from the other aunt without success. Recently this one aunt placed squatters on the property Amy's been trying to protect while they get through the appeal process.

I think most know the past story, but recently, these squatters attacked Amy resulting in her wrongful arrest and a $4,000 head injury. She's currently restricted from leaving the county and banned from returning to the place where she pays the bills, where the squatters are living comfortably on her dime. She's staying in a hotel but since it's peak season, even the cheapest hotel isn't cheap. The stress and expenses have taken a huge toll on her emotionally and financially.

We’re trying to raise $5,000 to help Amy cover the costs of keeping a roof over her head until she can get in front of a judge who can right these wrongs. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference in her life right now as she's facing homeless while being stuck in Franklin county.
