Aid Amber's Recovery: Overcome Hardships Together

My mother has had a few hardships this past year. (Bad car accident on November of 2023 and neck surgery in April of 2024 were the results.) This used up most of my mother’s savings. She has now broken her ankle. Not only did she break her ankle, but she has a trimalleolar ankle fracture, which is the most uncommon ankle fracture. This is when your ankle breaks in three separate places. Only 7% of all ankle breaks are trimalleolar ankle fractures so this very, very rare. A trimalleolar ankle fracture with dislocation typically requires a recovery time of several months, with most patients needing at least 6-8 weeks of non-weight bearing followed by extensive physical therapy to regain full function. Depending on the severity of the injury and the surgical intervention needed, returning to full activity may take up to 4-6 months.

My mother has been a hard worker my whole life, and I know that she will compromise her healing process to get back to work. She is dedicated to her employer, and I believe she feels like she is letting them down and letting her family down. Her employer is very understanding that this was a complete accident, and accidents happen.

The reason I am asking for your help is I want my mother to focus on her recovery. She has always been a workaholic my entire life to make sure I had everything I needed growing up.
