Aid Allison's Cancer Recovery and Healing Now

Allison is a remarkable young girl with a heart full of dreams. At just 13 years old, she should be enjoying carefree days filled with friends, laughter, and the excitement of growing up. Instead, she is facing a battle no child should ever endure: pediatric cancer.

When Allison was 9, she began losing energy and interest in her favorite things. Her bright spirit dimmed as she grew weaker, and eventually, we received the heartbreaking diagnosis: Pediatric Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)—a devastating and extremely rare blood cancer in children. CML accounts for only 2% of pediatric leukemia cases, affecting just 1 in a million children under 15.

She immediately began treatment with the best leukemia medication available in 2021. For a time, it helped. But by early 2025, it was clear the medicine was no longer enough. Her only hope for survival was a bone marrow transplant. After months of preparation and intense chemotherapy, Allison underwent her transplant in April. She spent 110 days at the Medical University of South Carolina, and—by God’s grace—she came through it.

Through every needle, every hospital stay, and every tear, Allison’s spirit has remained unshakable. She is a source of light and joy to everyone who knows her. She’s kind, compassionate, and always puts others before herself. She loves playing outside with her dog, Bandit, getting lost in her favorite books, and spending Sunday afternoons surrounded by family after church. Her laughter reminds us every day why we fight so hard to give her the future she deserves.

Now Allison is entering the most critical phase yet: recovery. This stage will last an entire year and is just as perilous as the transplant itself. Her immune system is fragile, leaving her vulnerable to dangerous infections that healthy bodies can fight off with ease. She must be closely monitored, requiring weekly trips to Charleston (a four-hour drive each way as well as overnight stays) and weekly visits to Greenville’s Pediatric Cancer Center for tests and treatments.

As a single parent, the weight of this responsibility falls entirely on me. I’ve had to step away from work to care for Allison full-time. Balancing medical travel, household bills, and everyday expenses has become overwhelming. On top of this, my oldest daughter, Caitlin, will be starting college this fall. She deserves to pursue her dreams, yet feels like a burden because of our circumstances—something no child should ever feel.

This is why I am reaching out. My first request is for your prayers—for Allison’s healing, for strength, and for hope. My second is for donations to help us manage through this critical year. Your generosity will help us cover household costs, medical travel, meals, lodging, and allow me to focus fully on Allison’s care and Caitlin’s future.

Even the smallest gift makes a difference. Whether it’s $1 or $5, every donation adds up. And if you cannot give financially, sharing Allison’s story is a powerful way to help. You never know who might see her story and be able to lend support.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your compassion, kindness, and prayers mean the world to our family and bring us one step closer to giving Allison the healthy, happy future she deserves.
