Hello! My name is Yazmin and I'm reaching out to family and friends with a difficult request. As many of you know, my brother-in-law, Ali Mercado, was recently involved in a motorcycle accident. He spent 3 weeks in Cooper Trauma Center in intensive care, then 2 weeks in Kessler Rehabilitation Center. Ali had a fairly severe head injury, open wounds, road burns, and most notably, a shattered pelvis. He is completely non-weight bearing for ten weeks because of the pelvic surgery.

As he comes home from rehab, he is in need of many medical devices, such as a hospital bed, a walker, a wheelchair, two different-sized ramps, and a commode chair. He will be paying many copays for a slew of Dr's appointments. He will need gas money and transportation to get back and forth to Dr's appointments. All of these extra expenses will come on top of Ali being out of work without a check. This family will be struggling, to say the least.
