Life changed in an instant for Alek Zarco and his family. Alek was the innocent victim of a police chase gone wrong — struck by a stolen vehicle that was fleeing from officers. He now remains in the hospital in a medically induced coma, on ventilators, fighting to recover.

Alek has always been the sole provider for his family, working hard to keep things stable and secure. Now, with him unable to work and facing a long road to recovery, the financial burden has fallen entirely on his partner, Alana Zarco, Alana Townsend Zuniga, Alek Zarco’s partner, who is doing everything she can to hold the family together while caring for Alek and their two children under the age of three.
