Aid Alanna's Journey to Mayo Clinic
Donation protected
My sister Alanna Opal is gravely ill with a rare autoimmune disease, APS, or Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrom lupus anticoagulant, which causes major secondary medical issues such as hyponatremia, SIADH, and avascular necrosis among other conditions.
APS is a disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks normal proteins in the blood, causing secondary catastrophic health issues. Alanna’s goal is to get to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for treatment on December 9.
Untreated, this disease is fatal.
Alanna is raising two young boys on her own and she has persevered through extreme challenges of having APS while raising children.
But now, her health has taken a severe downward turn and she needs our help. Your love and support will help this amazing, strong woman cover travel expenses to get to Rochester in December and to stay in Rochester while getting the critical care she needs from the wonderful doctors at Mayo Clinic.
Her goal is to get the medical treatment she needs to get back on her feet and continue raising her boys.
