Hey, I’m Hannah and I’m starting this for my family. Sunday morning, my youngest brother, Aaron, was taken into the hospital with multiple seizures. For multiple days, he was heavily sedated, and now (praise the Lord), he’s regaining more of himself. We’re SO happy to see him get some of his humor and life back despite it all. The struggle now is fixing his kidneys and liver, that were sent into hyperdrive due to the seizures. The doctor reported that his kinase levels were over 300,000, when an average marathon runner would have around 300. He is currently still in the hospital and we’re hoping to have him out by Sunday if we can bring that number down. Additionally, he has a fractured arm and dislocated shoulder. It’s a miracle he’s alive at all, given the fact that he’d swallowed his tongue during one of the seizures.
Anyone who knows my parents knows how incredibly hard-working and generous they are. Both of them have given so much of themselves in ministry and to their community, and I’m trying to help give back to them. :) This GoFundMe is to help take care of some meals when they get home, and overall medical expenses. Since so many of their friends and family live all over, I decided to set this up rather than do the food calendar thing so it could be all encompassing. Anyways, we’re not sure what his expenses are going to come to, but given a week in the hospital, a 24/7 EEG, multiple seizure medicines, MRIs, x-rays, CATscans, and so on, it’s going to be quite high.
In addition to all this, my parents ALSO just had a substantial portion of their financing stolen from whatever cards/credit cards they had planned to use given the account hacking most of you saw last week. Also, Julie (my mom) will be unable to work until we’re able to treat the seizures properly. She has only two weeks of vacation, one that has already been used by the week in the hospital with Aaron.
Anything would be helpful! I just want to make sure getting Aaron back up to function and home can be as smooth a process as can be. Please keep my family in your prayers, and please share this even if you can’t give. Thanks so much.
