My co-worker has been through a lot in the past two months. Almost 2 months ago, she lost her father, finding him herself peacefully quiet in his bed post giving himself a nebulizer treatment for asthma.
Just yesterday, she lost her partner of 20 years. He passed away after complaining of chest pains and after being transported to the emergency room at a local hospital, where they discovered he had a hole in his heart. He died. They have two sons, one in his teens, the other 6 years young. They recently moved to a new home that requires a two-parent income. She recently purchased a newer reliable vehicle to transport her children to and from activities and to get to work. He is her companion, the father of her children, and a source of support and strength. Losing both he and her father in such a short period of time has been devastating. She doesn't have the time off from work, post arranging her father's funeral, and paying for a share of the expenses, and she cannot afford to lose more income during this delicate time.
Any support you can provide while she transitions to becoming a single parent would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
I saw her in the spot people go to to get salads. She tells me her mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This is 3 weeks ago. Tops.
Her mother is dead.
