Aid a Mother & Son Rebuild Their Lives After Tragic Shooting

On May 31st, 2024 my family experienced a devastating tragedy. I was shot four times by my boyfriend who then took his own life. We were at home and our eight year old son witnessed it.

I was airlifted to the hospital and for days my family did not know if I would live. My injuries were so severe I was in surgery for two days and then on a ventilator for a week. Miraculously, I survived.

I spent over a month in the hospital, 100 miles away from home and my traumatized son.

Finally, after several setbacks and more surgeries, I was able to return home to my son, who desperately needed me.

I have a very long road ahead of me to heal physically from my severe injuries. WE have an even longer road to try and heal from the mental trauma.

At this point it is unknown when or if I will be able to work again. We currently have no income. Bills are piling up, and now our one vehicle is dying. I don't know what we will do if the car breaks down. We have so many Dr. and therapy appointments ahead of us, never mind every day things like getting groceries.

I am asking for help so that some of our financial burden may be lifted while we try to move forward and heal from this devastating trauma.
