Hello everyone,

My name is Dante Miles, after years of persistence I am happy to announce that I’ve been accepted into the Physician Assistant (PA) program at A.T. Still University in Santa Maria, CA. Due to my hard work I was a part of the rare 20% of students to be admitted in my first application cycle. I am thrilled to finally embark on my journey towards becoming a PA, which has been a lifelong goal of mine.

I began my educational journey majoring in linguistics, studying several languages that will allow me to engage with communities that are all too often overlooked and underserved. During my post-bacc prerequisites, I volunteered doing blood pressures checks at Black-owned barbershops and salons. This experience reaffirmed my commitment to becoming the provider my community needs. Being a PA is more than a career to me; it’s a calling. In my volunteer work I’ve witnessed the profound impact that can happen when there is an innate trust between a provider and their patient. Through my own experiences in the healthcare system, I have seen how vital, not only compassionate care is, but culturally competent care as well. This is why I am so dedicated to ensuring that people from ALL communities receive the level of support they deserve.

With your support, I will be able to relocate from Colorado to California, focus on excelling in my studies, and ensure I become a highly skilled and dedicated PA.
