Hello all, I am a 28-year-old mother of a 2-year-old boy and a 5-year-old daughter. Recently, my son turned two on 04/08/2025, and on 04/10/2025, we went to a two-year routine check-up that turned into an emergency trip to the hospital straight from the doctor's office—a day I could never forget!

We were admitted and informed by the doctor after a CT scan was performed that my son had a large mass tumor on his right kidney that took up most of his stomach. My baby had emergency surgery the next day to remove the tumor and kidney. Then we have been in the hospital for a week and found out he had Stage 1 Wilms tumor Nephroblastoma cancer.

My son's surgery was successful, and he now will have chemotherapy for 4 months to prevent it from growing back in his future life. As this was unexpected, i have been out of work, and I will be out of work for a little while. Then I will begin to work back from home while also taking care of my son, while of course missing days we go in and days that my son may need me. By the grace of God, my job will hold my position and work with me on this journey. However, I will be without pay for a couple of weeks, and this will just hold me over until I get back to work and paychecks start coming back in.

I really would rather not have to do this, but I am just dealing with this one day at a time since everything has transpired so fast, and I appreciate any and everybody or anything to help.
