My name is Olivia Hill-McWhorter. I am the branch manager of Visiting Angels in Longview, TX. One of our employees has gone through the unimaginable, and I come before you to ask for your help. At this time, we are keeping her name anonymous to protect her privacy until she can alert her loved ones.

In the early morning hours of 1/15/25, a devastating fire ripped through the home of one of our employees in Marshall, TX, leaving her and her family with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Tragically, everything they owned—personal belongings, keepsakes, and essentials—was lost in the flames. The home is a total loss.

To make matters even more heartbreaking, her daughter and 22-month-old granddaughter, who were in the house, have both been intubated and are being rushed to Dallas. This precious little one and her mom are facing serious medical challenges. Our employee was able to escape through a door leading outside in her bedroom. The family will now be faced with extensive medical bills while dealing with the aftermath of the fire.

We received a call this morning from her letting us know she would not be able to make it in to work today due to the tragedy. She called from the EMT's cell phone from the back of the ambulance, a true testament to her character.

We are asking for your generosity to help this woman and her family through this unimaginable time. The funds raised will help cover:
