I am a 21 year old human trafficking victim, and I am attempting to move from Philadelphia to Oregon. I escaped my abusers/traffickers a year ago; however, I have been homeless for a year. I've traveled the streets, and I have been shelter to shelter (none of them quite healthy). It has been an incredibly hard road. Originally, it was a struggle to attempt to survive in Philadelphia. Nowhere has bathrooms you can publicly use, and most of the time, shelters are usually full. Some shelters also take advantage of their clients, especially in terms of food stamps and SSI. I am also disabled and without a cane, so I cannot travel easily. I am attempting to go to Oregon to be closer to my family and people who can help me more. I want a better life and to see a future. I am also applying to a Job Corps in the state so I have the ability to become a pharmacist. I've tried all sorts of things to get my GoFundMe shared, and I am growing desperate as I am about to lose my current shelter in the middle of the summer. Anything helps.
