I am a single mother standing just weeks away from a dream I’ve fought years to reach: becoming a college graduate. I have pushed through every obstacle—late nights, early mornings, parenting, studying, working—determined to build a better future for my child and myself. But now, at the very finish line, I’ve been stopped by an unexpected financial roadblock I cannot overcome alone.

Despite earning high honors, making the Dean’s List, and being inducted into multiple honor societies, an unforeseen financial obligation is preventing me from applying for graduation. Even though I’ve already been awarded a scholarship for my first semester of graduate school—an opportunity I’ve worked so hard for—I cannot move forward until this undergraduate balance is cleared.

The financial aid office is currently reviewing my awards and status, but as of now, they still require a payment of $6,606before I can take my next step. After everything I’ve accomplished, it breaks my heart to be held back by something completely out of my control.

I am so close. I have come too far to stop here. And I’m humbly asking for help.

Any amount—truly any amount—brings me one step closer to graduating, advancing to grad school, and showing my child that perseverance and faith can overcome even the hardest moments.
