My best friend is one of the strongest people I know. She’s a single mom to two teenage boys and works two nursing jobs to keep everything running. She’s the type of person who shows up for everyone—her patients, her coworkers, her family, and her friends—often putting her own needs last. Now, she’s facing surgery and will be out of work for several weeks as she recovers.
