AHS and Bishop Scully 50 Year High School Reunion

Hello Classmates of 1974. We began this journey in early 2024 and today I am happy to tell you that thanks to so many wonderful folks, we are on our way to celebrating our 50-year reunion on August 10, 2024. As you may or may not know, neither class had funds available from their previous reunions. The AHS account was closed and any money available was donated to the scholarship fund. We would once again like to follow that same route.

Committee Co-Chair Bob Stern will be managing the funds on the other side to pay bills locally. He created a separate bank account, and the account balances and transactions will be available upon request.

We are looking for sponsors to underwrite a combined school t-shirt (see logo above) that will serve as the 50-Year Reunion Commemorative gift to attendees. The sponsor’s name or company logo will be printed on the back of the t-shirt; a great opportunity for a business marketing tool. Gifts in kind donators' names or logos will also have a place on the back.

In addition to the t-shirt, funds will be used for miscellaneous reunion costs such as necessary deposits, Paperless Post invitation costs, decorations - other than the generously donated flowers for centerpieces, as well as any other expenses that will come up.

After all obligations are met, the remaining funds will be donated to a scholarship gift for one fortunate AHS student and one from St. Mary's Institute.

NEXT STEPS if you are interested in donating:

1) Decide the amount you would like to donate. Any amount is welcome and may be donated anonymously.

2) If you want the sponsor’s name or business logo printed in black on the back of the t-shirt, please send me the company logo or the name you would like printed. This donation can be in Memory of a Special Person, your family name, whatever you decide. All accommodations will be met.

3) If you want your donation to be used ONLY for the scholarship fund, please indicate that in your Go Fund Me message. SCHOLARSHIP ONLY - and choose Amsterdam High School (AHS) or St. Mary's Institute (SMI). Your wishes will be honored.

4) If you are not attending the reunion and would like to purchase a commemorative tshirt, please donate $20 to this Go Fund Me, indicate what size you want in the message, and email me the address you wish for it to be mailed. This also applies to anyone that would like to purchase an extra tshirt.

An official Invitation will be forthcoming by June 1st with an absolute deadline of July 1st. This invitation will include whether you are attending, are you bringing a guest, the size(s) of the t-shirts you want (IF you want one), and, how to pay for your $35.00 per person NON-REFUNDABLE price for the magnificent BBQ buffet Lyon's Street Bar and Grille will be providing. This will arrive by email (if an email is available). For those without an email, a paper copy will be mailed to the address that we have in hopes it is correct. Thanks to an Anonymous donor for making the paper copies available.
