A Widow's Fund for Maryann, Wife of Al McBryan
Maryann was married for 39 years to her beloved Allan and they lived in a small country farmhouse almost their entire married life. They raised 4 beautiful kids there as well as some dogs and cats and welcomed many friends to their humble home. Since Allan was away a lot with his teaching in Youth With A Mission many places around the globe, Maryann stayed home and managed the family and farm, which included hauling water and propane for heating. Because of their small income their home did not get any upgrades, deteriorated and formed a black mould in the basement. Maryann's dream was to move into a home where she could extend her hospitality and run a bed and breakfast.
On April 13, 2017 her dear husband passed away after suffering for years with an autoimmune disease, Sjogren's, which ended his impactful teaching career. Just before dying, Al and Maryann made an offer on a house that could provide for her needs and her dream of hospitality and caring for others in need. A sizeable down payment on the house is from the sale of their old property. We, her friends, would like to see Maryann helped financially on the remainder of the mortgage to make her dream of a lifetime come true. We know that is what Allan badly wanted for her after his death.
The goal is to raise the remaining cost of this house in Spruce Grove, Alberta: $180, 000 (Canadian dollars). Please consider helping.
