Hit and run victim needs your help!

On Jan 5th at 4 pm, Walter Magaña was riding his bike to work after dropping off a car he had just fixed. As he crossed the street on the rainy streets of LA, a vehicle came out of nowhere and hit him. It was a hit-and-run. We ask anyone who witnessed to please come forward. The accident occurred on

Figueroa near the freeway entrance in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, this accident caused him to fracture his ribs which caused damage to his right lung (pneumothorax). He cannot move his right arm due to a fracture in the shoulder. This accident is going to keep him incapacitated for some time. His recovery time will be slow, and he will need as much time as possible to recover. He is currently in the hospital and is responding to the treatment of his lung. Walter has been a mechanic for many years. He worked independently at a shop on Broadway and 67 and helped his community by fixing cars and allowing people to pay in payments or not when money was tough. We ask for assistance for Walter to maintain his housing expenses and basic necessity along with medical costs related to this hit-and-run.
