Cancer, Chemo and Chaos

Donation protected
My name is Dianne Matthews. I am a single Grandmother raising my incarcerated son’s daughter. In late 2011 I found out that I had stage 2 triple negative breast cancer that was a progressive, fast growing cancer. I had a radical mastectomy and started chemo. In February 2012 I finished Chemo while receiving my Bachelor’s degree and starting my Master’s in Human Behavior. During this time I lost $1500.00 a month income. Since then I have been left with the aftermaths of chemotherapy: intermittent vision problems, heart arrhythmia, skin rashes and a few other issues. I have tried to recover financially by going back to work but could not continue because of previous back and neck injuries and the aftermath of chemo. I lost so much and got so far behind, that I managed every month the best I could. The medical bills, utilities, rent and the rest, constantly the list got longer and longer. It is important to me to keep up with the medical bills because I am still under the physician’s care as a cancer survivor and a heart patient. I have not recovered the extra income so I struggle with the basics of gas, untilities, prescriptions, groceries, and paying rent. I do not want to go back to the place of almost being destitute, therefore I am asking for my friends to help me raise $3200 to help me catch up on back rent and medical expenses. Thank you for your contribution.
