Ahmet who is suffering from brain damage

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aysana and I am Ahmets younger sister. My brother is 38 years old and is a HARD WORKER! He is a handy man of all trades, he mainly specializes in construction and building lines. He has really great manners and is a stand up guy who loves to see others thrive. Unfortunately on Sunday, October 20th at 6 pm he was on his way home and suddenly got struck on his bike by an SUV. He hit his face on the SUV and his head hit the cement ground. Ahmet almost lost his life that day. He has suffered CATASTROPHIC Brain damage, he has brain bleeds all over, facial fractures, broken ribs, broken teeth, and his lip was completely split open. He is a fighter and with Gods help and the doctors he awoke from his coma and now the fight begins.

Due to his injuries he lost a lot of memory, vision was compromised and he needs round the clock care for the bathroom, showering, help walking he currently is in a wheelchair. The problem is I have three young children and I’m the only one in my family who has stood by him and has helped in his recovery. He soon will be discharged to my care after he attends rehabilitation and for that we are asking the public’s help for at home assistance. We are looking to use the 10,000 for the first year of his at home care. The money is being used for rental costs, travel expenses to and from the doctor, parking, food, some specific meds that aren’t covered by Ohip and obtaining all ID that has been lost during accident. His teeth are getting replaced due to being smashed in the accident. He doesn’t currently have Ohip due to his ID being lost and it’s been a struggle to obtain his ID so the bills already are stacking up. He is unable to work and due to work benefit complications he isn’t eligible for benefits which is causing a financial strain since it’ll be some time he can go back to work. Due to this horrific accident it’ll be some time before he can work again if ever and due to his TBI(traumatic brain injury) the doctors have said he isn’t allowed to live on his own due to everything going on with him mentally and physically. He also has severe anxiety, PTSD and tics.

Any donation helps, no donation is too small.
We appreciate all the support and want to thank each and every one of you for caring about my brother.

If you can’t donate, a prayer goes along way. And please share this page to get the message across.

Ahmet has currently been in the hospital the last four weeks and was in the ICU for two weeks and is now in the trauma unit receiving round the clock care. The next step is rehabilitation and than coming to live with me. I’ve had to step in the role as his caregiver and it would help tremendously to be able to provide PSW for his care that is desperately needed.

Here is the news article to read about this horrific incident.
