Ahmed was born in Gaza under difficult health conditions. When he was just 10 days old, his family discovered he had a heart problem that required intensive medical care. For 25 years, Ahmed struggled with chronic health issues, but they never stood in the way of his ambitions. These challenges only made him stronger, pushing him to pursue his dreams with even greater determination.

Ahmed studied Computer Systems Engineering (Software Engineering), following his lifelong passion for computers and technology. He excelled among his peers, and by his third year at university, he decided to start his own freelancing business in software development. It didn’t take long for Ahmed to refine his skills and become highly skilled in his field. At just 22 years old, he founded his own company, built a team, and opened an office in Gaza.

But in 2021, tragedy struck. Israeli airstrikes targeted and destroyed Al-Jawhara Tower, where Ahmed’s office was located. Just a month after setting it up, he lost everything. However, this devastating blow didn’t end his dream. Ahmed quickly got back on his feet, continued his work, and even built a community to help develop his skills and support others in similar situations.

His ultimate dream was to travel abroad, and after completing his university studies, he moved to Qatar in November 2022. However, he faced significant difficulties adapting due to the complex and time-consuming residency and travel procedures for Palestinians. After months of struggle, Ahmed decided to return to Gaza in June 2023 to continue working from there.

He was scheduled to leave Gaza again and permanently settle in Qatar on October 15, 2023, but things took an unexpected turn. October 7 came first, and Ahmed found himself trapped in Gaza. He lost everything – his business, his home, and everything he had worked so hard to build over the years…

But Ahmed refuses to give up. He is starting over, determined to rebuild his life with his wife, his lifelong partner. After years of ambition and hard work, he still holds onto hope, armed with the skills and resilience needed to regain his independence.

Ahmed Has Survived More Than 15 Months of Displacement and Near-Death Experiences:

• November 1, 2023 – Survived a direct Israeli airstrike.

• December 4, 2023 – Escaped a tank shell fired near him as he attempted to flee his home during the Khan Younis invasion.

• Survived the bombing of his neighbors’ house, where he had been sitting just moments before the attack.

• July 22, 2024 – Israeli tanks surrounded his neighborhood, and while he and his family barely escaped, over 350 people in his area were killed due to intense shelling, indiscriminate fire, and siege tactics.
