Help Ahmed Family Survive War and Evacuate Gaza

My name is Mohamed Ahmed, and I find myself reaching out to you at a very desperate time. Our house, once a sanctuary filled with cherished memories, now lies in ruins, a victim of relentless bombing. I, along with my parents, Farid and Makram, my wife, Nariman, and our four children, Majd (7 years old), Ikram (5 years old), Qais (14 months old), and baby Faida (4 weeks old), who was born during this war, have been thrust into a harrowing existence. Like many others, we are deprived of shelter, sustenance and medical care. My parents suffer from debilitating health conditions – my father from high blood pressure and diabetes, and my mother from similar ailments that are exacerbated by a glandular disorder and the challenge of having only one kidney. Their urgent need for medical treatment hangs over us as their health deteriorates.

Our plight is compounded by the harsh reality that we lack the means to ensure our survival. As the sole breadwinner for my family, I find myself paralyzed by the weight of helplessness, unable to protect my loved ones from destitution and disease. The devastation caused by war knows no bounds. It strips us of our livelihood, our dignity, and our very sense of self. What was once a thriving household is now in ruins – a harsh testament to the indiscriminate cruelty of conflict. When I look at the wreckage that was once our home, I am overcome by a profound sense of loss - the realization that the life we ​​once knew is but a distant memory. Echoes of our former life – peaceful living in a three-storey house, surrounded by olive groves and citrus trees – haunt me as a poignant reminder of all we have lost. Our displacement was swift and merciless, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs and our shattered dreams.

Yet, in this darkness, I cling to a glimmer of hope, appealing to your kindness and generosity. Your support could mean the difference between life and death for my family. With your help, we can start over and rewrite the story of our lives, turning tragedy into triumph, and despair into hope. I humbly appeal to you to stand with us in our hour of need, and to provide whatever assistance you can. Money is urgently needed for passports, evacuation fees ($5,000 each for 4 adults and $2,500 each for 4 children), medical treatment and the countless expenses that stand between us and safety.
