Ahmed's Fight

Ahmed Stipanovic is 9 years old and was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in July of 2017.  Rhabdomyosarcoma is rare and aggressive solid-tumor cancer. The cancer, which was found in his lower pelvic region, has metastasized into his leg and lungs as well.

Since his diagnosis, 22 months ago, he has endured intensive treatments, but, sadly, his cancer has been determined to be incurable by his doctors. Ahmed and his family are now being supported by a Hospice care team.

Because of the treatments that he has undergone, Ahmed has missed most of his 3rd grade school year.  Missing school has been hard on him because he enjoys being there and very much misses his friends. Ahmed will continue to fight, along with all who have been touched by his positive spirit, kind heart and above all his undeniable strength and perseverance.
