Help My Family Escape the War in Gaza and Build a New Life

Please read this as if I'm a member of your family . maybe your sister, daughter or a friend and as if my family who's under death now is yours.

My name is Ahmed Abu Obaid, and I am 36 years old. My wife, Iman. We have three children: Mohammad, who is 10 years old, Zain Al-Din, who is 6, Janah (paradise), who is 2, and Naji, who is 2 month.

We are from Rafah in the Gaza Strip, an area that has been under siege for years and has been experiencing ongoing attacks and severe hardships since October 7, 2023. The continuous bombing has caused immense suffering, deprivation, and violations of human rights, leading to slow death due to hunger, thirst, disease, and lack of medical care. We live under the constant threat of death from relentless airstrikes since the war began.

I lost my source of income because of the war, and we are struggling to meet even the most basic necessities of life.

Since the war on Gaza started, I lost almost everything On 1st December last year, My wife lost her sister and 11 members of my family in one second. One rocket was enough to end the life of my uncle, and his wife all their sons, daughter, and grandchildren. None of them were left alivel.

My loss didn’t end here, because to us Gazans, death knocks our door every single day, every new day under war is a possibility of a new loss

In the 6th of janury 2024, I lost sister,due to the lack of healthcare in Gaza.

this shock after one month of losing 11 members of my family was a big slap into my face, it was a harsh reminder that death didn’t stop, and that none of us is an exception in this genocide.

This loss circle didn’t end here, Our dream home, which we invested all our savings to build before the war, has been damaged, and we now need help to repair it. We have been forced to flee our home and are now living in makeshift shelters under dire conditions, struggling to access clean water, food, and personal necessities.

My pregnant wife, children, and I are living in inhumane conditions, and we urgently need assistance.

After everything bad happened to us we’ve decided to get out this genocide and move to Egypt .

Unfortunately it’s not even easy to arrive Egypt because we must pay big amount of money to cross the borders with Egypt (almost 5000$ for each adult and 2500$ for each child) In the end , I have only one wish and only one hope . I wish you could help my kids and family by any way to evacuate from this genocide and nightmare in Gaza to get safety in Egypt.
