Ahmed and his family in Gaza

Hello everyone,

My name is Saskia, I'm from Cambridge, and on Sunday, 9th March, I will be running the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon to raise vital funds for Ahmed and his family, who are enduring unimaginable hardships in Gaza.

Ahmed’s life was completely upended when his home was bombed, leaving him and his family displaced and struggling to survive without access to basic necessities such as food and medicine. As the harsh conditions of winter set in, their situation became even more dire. Ahmed’s young children are especially vulnerable due to a lack of milk and proper nutrition.

Every donation, even £5 or the price of a coffee, can make a real difference in their lives. Your generosity will directly contribute to essentials like food, medical supplies, and warm clothing to help them endure the freezing temperatures.

Ahmed’s Story

“Hello everyone,

I am Ahmed from Gaza, reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for help. I find myself in the midst of a terrible situation in Gaza, a war zone where survival has become an increasingly challenging task.

The harsh reality of the circumstances compels me to initiate this GoFundMe campaign, as we have exhausted all other avenues for assistance.

After my house was bombed and I lost my source of livelihood, which was a car as Taxi, now I am displaced in Rafah and I do not have much money left and we suffer from a lack of food and basic necessities for living.

Ahmed's nephew, the child, is having difficulty obtaining milk and food intended for children, and because of that, he is now sick.

The resilience of various Palestinians who have successfully launched GoFundMe campaigns for families affected in Gaza has inspired me to take a similar step. Despite my reluctance and a profound sense of helplessness, I am compelled to seek assistance for Ahmed and his family, who are struggling to navigate through these difficult times.

The weight of the situation is overwhelming, and it's never easy to ask for help. However, the desperation and urgency leave us with no alternative. I genuinely appreciate any support, whether it be financial contributions or guidance, as we navigate through this challenging time together.
