Listen, my name is Ahmed, I'm 13 years old, and I come nine a family of nine My brother Mohammed, my brother Mustafa, and my sister Dima have no source of income and are suffering from extreme poverty because of the war and its devastating consequences. My father has been missing since the beginning of the war. My brother Mohammed has Down syndrome and needs special care due to his weak immune system. We are residents of northern Gaza, from the city of Beit Hanoun. October7th was a day of hell, like Judgment Day. It was our first day of displacement. At first, we fled from Beit Hanoun to the Jabalia refugee camp. Then we were forced to flee again to western Gaza City. Later, after sustaining multiple injuries and enduring repeated shelling, we were forced to flee once more to the southern Gaza Strip, to the city of Rafah. Unfortunately, our suffering increased day by day, and we were forced to flee again to Khan Younis. After that, a ceasefire was declared, but we wished it hadn't been. When we returned to our city of Beit Hanoun, we found it uninhabitable. Our house was completely destroyed, and the entire city was in ruins. My family and I were forced to pitch a tent on top of the ruins of our destroyed home. Our house was destroyed, and with it, all our beautiful memories were buried. We were then displaced to Deir al-Balah in southern Gaza. I sincerely hope that every kind-hearted person can help us get back on our feet—to rebuild our home and provide the basic necessities of life for my family.
