Show Ahmed & family that humanity cares about Gaza

My name is Aisha and I am committed to supporting my young friend, Ahmed Raed, and his family to try to leave Gaza or, at least, to meet their day-to-day needs there.

As children all over the world return to school, Ahmed and his siblings are just trying to survive another day, another night. It would not be unreasonable of them to feel that humanity has forgotten them. I am determined to show them otherwise. Millions of people care deeply about what is happening in Gaza and Palestine more broadly. Now more than ever, it is incumbent upon us to show them how much we care.

I met Ahmed online and we have struck up a friendship as his family of seven navigate the unfathomable horror of simply trying to survive in Gaza where nowhere is safe. Additionally, basic necessities have become hard to come by and prices for everything have soared.

Originally from East Khan Younis, Ahmed and his family have been forcibly displaced 9 times. This is a war crime, repeated many times over. The last few times this happened, I was in touch with Ahmed and witnessed how they had to literally grab what they could carry and flee for their lives with no time to even pack up their tent. Each time they are displaced, they are required to set up again, from scratch, sometimes after only a few days. They are exhausted and there is no end in sight.

Ahmed is 15. Apart from his parents, he has two sisters, Salma (age 16), Retal (age 12), and two brothers, Abd Al Rahman (age 10) and Bahaa (age 5).

All donations will go directly to Ahmed and his family to support them in their every day living and, if possible, to leave Gaza. I have already transferred funds to Ahmed via PayPal and I know from a contact in Gaza that he is entirely legitimate.
