Journalist Ahmed Family Evacuation from Gaza

Ahmed faces a difficult situation in Gaza, where his family's safety and well-being are at risk due to the ongoing conflict.

His wife, a teacher, lost her job when schools were destroyed and education stopped, and their children are unable to continue their education amid chaos, fear and genocide, with hundreds of schools and universities destroyed.

Children suffer from malnutrition and diseases due to the lack of basic necessities such as clean drinking water and the difficulty of obtaining water, basic daily needs, bathing, washing clothes and going to the bathroom.

They are currently residing in a very narrow nylon tent that does not protect from the summer heat or the winter cold in Mawasi Khan Yunis, where the Israeli operations exacerbate the already difficult conditions and create constant terror and fear for Ahmed’s children and wife, who often stay alone on many nights. Because of the nature of Ahmed’s journalistic work.

The priority is to save the costs of immediate evacuation to Egypt in the event that work at the Rafah crossing resumes, as this comes at a high price ranging from 5 to 7 thousand per adult and 2.5 thousand per child. This cost is onerous, but necessary for their safety.

There is an urgent need for contributions to support Ahmed’s family in these evacuation efforts, and also to help Ahmed obtain a sum of money to enable Ahmed to provide the basic things of life, the prices of which are insanely expensive, as this ongoing Israeli aggression is currently at the 8th month.

Ahmed now dreams of getting out of the war zone to make a new start for his family in a safer place. Having this peace will allow them to contribute meaningfully to society, and the financial support can help make this dream a reality and give them the opportunity for a brighter future and a chance at a dignified life.

Before the war, life for Ahmed and his family was likely more stable and peaceful.

Ahmed, a highly skilled engineer, was dedicated to his work in the field of satellite communications and quality systems management.

Ahmed got involved in the field of journalism during the 2014 war as a broadcast engineer in the Palestine Company, which provides media services to several international news channels, until he is currently responsible for press crews working around the clock throughout this frightening war, during which he worked to provide live broadcasts to foreign channels, including “Al Jazeera Mubasher” and “Al Jazeera”. English, Cairo News, Kingdom of Jordan, Hispan Spanish, Arabic, German Zdf...."

Ahmed is also a master's student in communications and control engineering at the Islamic University, but he was unable to defend his thesis because of the war. His university was completely destroyed and this opportunity was taken away from him.

Ahmed has been passionate and hardworking in his field while taking care of his family.

His wife's career as a teacher has provided stability for the family, enabling their children to receive an education and a safe environment to grow and thrive.

They likely enjoyed simple pleasures, family outings, and treasured moments together, free from the constant fear and uncertainty of conflict.

Hello, my name is Anas. I'm a Palestinian living in Canada who has been in contact with many press and civilians in Gaza. In these dire circumstances, we have encountered numerous children who should not be subjected to these horrendous war crimes. We have often utilized TikTok to collect donations, but this method is not sustainable as TikTok takes over 70% of the proceeds, and additional fees are incurred to convert it into cash. With infrastructure and banks being targeted, it has become increasingly difficult to provide aid and financial assistance.

This account will be accessed by Ahmed and his family, and facilitating this transfer will be discreet for their safety and mine. As governments and corporations are not on our side, Ahmed has found a way for money to reach him.
