Ahmad Doucet is a Kettering Fairmont High School wrestler of considerable talent who suffered a stroke the morning of June 21 while training with Team Ohio for the Junior National Duals. Later that night Ahmad “coded” and was placed on a ventilator. The impact of this stroke on Ahmad has been significant. Ahmad has suffered a catastrophic injury to his brain stem that has resulted in severe brain damage. In the short term Ahmad is expected to remain in the hospital for many weeks. Moving forward will entail an extensive, long-term rehabilitation.

While Ahmad’s family knows this news is devastating to so many – Ahmad is renowned for his wide smile, sweet nature and generosity to everyone he knows, plus the heart of a champion – they greatly appreciate the prayers, love and support they are receiving.
