HELP ME EVACUATE MY FAMILY OUT OF GAZA WAR

Donation protected

Hello, I'm Mustafa, 32 years old, from Gaza, currently residing in Germany. Today, I'm writing on behalf of my family in Gaza.

  • In the words of my sister Nesma:
Before October 7th, we were a family of 4: my husband, our daughters Asia and Majda, and myself.

I worked as a freelance engineer, and my husband owned a contracting company. We had a house, and fortunately, being an architect, I enjoyed enhancing and beautifying it with the finest details.
My daughter Majda is the light of my life, with no one smarter or more beautiful. She loved going to kindergarten and enjoyed learning, coloring, and drawing.
As for my younger daughter Asia, the mischievous one with distinctive curly golden hair, she loved vegetables and fruits in particular.
On October 7th, we woke up to a war that turned our lives upside down. We were displaced from our home, the first displacement, without clothes or any personal belongings. After October 7th, we were displaced for the second time from the north to the center of the Gaza Strip, where we found difficult conditions that were physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging to adapt to. We then moved to Khan Younis in the south of the Strip for the third time, and then to a school housing displaced people, where we endured the harshest forms of psychological and health suffering, with diseases spreading and no food or even clean bathrooms available. This was our fourth displacement. We were forced to move to Rafah, where we went to a tent, the fifth displacement.

I, the engineer who used to work freelance, can no longer work due to the lack of electricity to charge my personal computer and the absence of internet to receive or send work.
As for my husband's company, we know nothing about it because we cannot reach it in the northern Gaza Strip.
As for our home, which I used to call "Kenuna," which means “essence” is still always in our minds, waiting for the moment of our return, it was burned and turned into ashes, with no furniture, details, clothes, or even any toys from Majda and Asia.

Majda, the intelligent one who loves knowledge, always asks me about her kindergarten, her notebooks, and her colors, and I cannot tell her the truth about the fire that destroyed all her belongings and her inability to continue her education.

As for Asia, the mischievous one, since the moment the war broke out, she has been facing psychological problems, eating and sleeping disorders, and difficulty in getting the basic requirements like any child her age.

Fortunately, during the early days of the war, we were able to obtain a visa to Australia, to secure a job for my husband and me, and a good life for my children. Unfortunately, we do not have enough money to leave Gaza for Egypt, or even to afford the cost of airline tickets. Sadly, we are experiencing intense psychological pressure due to the approaching expiration date of the visa, and we do not even have enough money to allocate for the first few months of living expenses, life necessities, and clothes for me and my children.

  • In the words of my younger brother Awni:

I am Awni, 14 years old. I used to study at a special school with an exceptional and strong education. When the war broke out, I was just starting my ninth grade. After the war, education stopped, and I couldn't complete the school year, losing a year of my life. I was skilled in football as a goalkeeper, and I worked hard and was keen on my training. However, the sports club where I trained was bulldozed and destroyed. Many of my schoolmates have contacted me; they are now outside the Gaza Strip to continue their education, but I cannot leave due to the lack of sufficient money to leave Gaza.

  • Hello again, I'm Mustafa.
Now I'll tell you about my father, who is a specialist doctor in kidney and urology surgery and male infertility, and my mother, an accountant who sacrificed and worked hard for us to grow up, learn, and live a happy life. My middle brother, Mohammed, who is supposed to graduate from the Information Technology College, has not graduated because of the war and the destruction of his university.

I am now asking for donations for my sister Nesma's and my younger brother Awni's family, without our parents and middle brother, so that I can prioritize them. This is to ensure that Awni does not lose his school year and that Nesma's family's visa does not expire. I hope you will donate and share with your friends.

Thank you.
