Elspeth Ritchie ( Elsie) , My Mum, was rushed to hospital 2 weeks ago with what looked like classic symptoms of a heart attack.  They found that she had a Hiatal Hernia and needed surgery.  She had the surgery and it was successful, however she suffered 2 heart attacks 2 days later, causing inoperable heart valve damage.  She was  diagnosed as terminal with Heart and Kidney disease and given only days to live. She is currently staying at Bruns house hospice home in Alamo, CA. 

In the last 6 months we have paid $38,500 for Mum's medical expenses.  Just since Mum was diagnosed as terminal, Medicare was paying $1537.35 per day, that has decreased to $300 per day as of November 1, leaving me liable for the remaining $1,237.33 per day.

I am asking for any financial help you can offer to help pay for a care home similar to Bruns House Hospice, closer to home only less expensive, but still able to manage her pain.

As of today 11/6/2019:  Mum is being moved  to the Elder Ashram, 3121 Fruitvale ave, Oakland, CA.  Where a new public hospice team will take over.  Elder Ashram will be able to provide the round the clock pain medicine she needs. The private pay amount of $1,237.33  per day has stopped. The Elder Ashram is $6000 per month. 
I sincerely thank you all for your affectionate comments and memories of my sweet, lovely Mum.
