Hello!
We are Bea and Matthew, a wife and husband team of food truckers here in Birmingham, AL. Thank you for patronizing our business!
My husband, Matthew is a Birmingham, AL native and I am a London, UK native - we met in NYC, moved here to Birmingham and started our food truck up - Little London Kitchen in June 2019. A food trailer with a British double decker bus we refurbished as our dining room. Bringing authentic tastes of London to the locals all from scratch. Even have our own butcher for our sausages!
Within six months of food-trucking in this Magic City, we were embarking on opening our pub - The Little London. We were supposed to open at the end of March. Unfortunately the world turned upside down on us, and so many others with the epidemic. We found ourselves pivoting constantly to stabalize our business and dug into our contingency fund which means we still have work to complete on the pub. Unfortunately due to the layout and amount of space we have inside our seating capacity is drastically reduced to keep everyone at safe distances. However, we still tried to open in August to get us going. However, we had to close our doors due to constant epidemic related staffing issues.
We are asking anyone who would like to (we know its a hard time for many) if you'd like to donate to our support fund. This fund will help us cover necessities such as rent, utilities and other overheads for a month to give us time to make this shift of turning our pub temporarily into a Local Food and Crafts Market that can support several businesses under one roof as well as sustain us, until we can better understand what this year holds. If we reach our full target we can also get vital pieces of equipment repaired on our truck and in our kitchen.
Other ways we are asking for help are if you'd consider purchasing our products, visiting our truck or even liking and sharing our posts on social media really make a difference.
We have fallen in love with our building, and the community that surrounds it who have been doing so much to try and help us. There are too many people to mention who have helped work on our building and gone above and beyond to support us in different ways.
We sincerely thank our family, friends and Little Londoners for all their continued support of our business. We will persevere to continue serving you in different ways until we get through this patch!
