Hello. This is Max. He is my 6 yr old daughters 13 mos old best friend, her Christmas present last yr. We have had him since 10 weeks old. This past week he Began to get really sick, not eating or using the bathroom except to pee, and vomiting continuously. I took him to the vet on Friday 12/1 and it was discovered he had ingested the stuffing from a squeaky toy. He is unable to pass it and as of 1230pm on Saturday 12/2, he is in for emergency surgery. I have been informed that this will cost a minimum of $2000, although a full estimate isn't available until it is seen how he fares during the process. I already just paid $500 last night for the initial visit. While they have agreed to work with me on a payment plan, as a single mom this extra bi weekly payment is going to make things incredibly tight for me. Any help would be so appreciated.

UPDATE: Max got his stitches out on Saturday 12/16/23......he's doing well. Aside from am area at the top of his incision that appears he licked at (he tore his cone off). So wr have a new cone, a topical triple antibiotic cream and a once daily new antibiotic. He is back to his spunky self, although still a little afraid of jumping down from furniture. I think the cone messes with his depth perception, so he's wary, but getting there. Thank you to all who have helped, whether it be a share or donation. It helps more than you could ever know.
