A. H. Parker Band Uniforms

Donation protected
The A. H. Parker High School Band is very significant to the city of Birmingham. The A. H. Parker High School was the first school in the city for African-Americans in the early 1900s. The band program was organized under the direction under legendary band teacher, John T. “Fess” Whatley. The Band celebrated 100 years this past year. Mr. Whatley's instruction produced legendary jazz musicians such as Tommy Stuart and Erskine Hawkins as well as numerous musicians who played with legends such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Lionel Hampton.

Today, we are asking for your support. WE NEED YOUR HELP. We are trying to raise money for new band uniforms for the 2018 - 2019 school year . The band’s current set of uniforms were purchased in 1998. Most band uniforms have a 7-10 year life span before they become too worn to use, and this set is now reaching point of 20 years. We are asking that you consider contributing to this cause.

And to make it more interesting, let's see who's class can raise the most. No matter how small or large, every dollar counts.

Thank you in-advance for you contribution and continued support of
A. H. Parker High School.
