Help Baby Viviana as She Faces Open Heart Surgery
Our family is reaching out for support for our niece, Viviana, a beautiful baby girl born on October 17. What should have been a joyful time quickly turned into every parent’s worst fear. Shortly after birth she was rushed to the NICU, and on October 18 doctors diagnosed her with a rare congenital heart condition. Her tiny heart had not formed properly.
That same day she was airlifted from Tucson, Arizona to Phoenix so she could receive the specialized care she needed. The helicopter flight alone cost ninety thousand dollars. Viviana spent nearly two weeks in Phoenix while doctors worked to stabilize her and create a long term surgical plan.
She was eventually discharged home so her medical team could monitor her remotely, but her fight is far from over. Viviana’s open heart surgery is scheduled for December 4. This will be a major operation for such a small baby, and my sister and brother in law have remained at her side through every moment. They have not been able to work while caring for her, and the medical bills have already become overwhelming. The surgery, follow up care, and extended hospital stay will all take place at an out of network facility, adding even more financial strain.
Every donation will go directly to Viviana’s parents to help cover the mounting expenses connected to her emergency transport, her upcoming surgery, and her continued care. Any amount makes a difference and gives them one less burden to carry.
If you are unable to give financially, a prayer or a share of this fundraiser means more than you know. Our family is deeply grateful for every act of kindness, and we thank you for standing with baby Viviana during the hardest fight of her life.
