On August 31st we received news that no one can ever prepare you to receive. Our Mom has Breast Cancer. Our mom, Shonda, was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. If you know our mom, you know she is gentle and kind yet strong and brave. This diagnosis has only proved this to be more true. We have claimed this diagnosis our “best-worst-case scenario.” She is expected to make a full recovery, and the cancer is not likely to come back! 
Very soon after her diagnosis, us daughters decided that we wanted to do something to support our mom. We decided to put together this fundraiser to gather finances to support our mom’s recovery and medical bills. Mom is the hardest worker we know, and we want her to have peace of mind taking off work to fully recover after surgeries and radiation. Our hope is to use these funds to pay her medical bills, and use any left over to purchase her a new comfy bed to rest on as she recovers! Every cent and share is greatly appreciated! We are already blown away by the village that has gathered to care for our mom and us the past 6 weeks.
