After an extended left maxillectomy surgery at Klinika Nieborowice, Agnieszka is currently recovering from radiotherapy sessions on her face and spine, and a lot of pain that came with them. As doctors have given up on her treatment, we decided to get an out-of-system treatment, which as you may know is not reimbursed and is terribly expensive. Every donation has genuinely moved us so much closer to her much-needed treatment and post-surgery rehabilitation, which includes ongoing radiotherapy, medication and further doctor and nurse consultations, so that we’re able to catch the cancer if it ever starts spreading again.

A little bit of a backstory:

Agnieszka currently lives in Co. Wexford, Ireland. She is a beyond loved daughter, wife and a friend, and above all my beautiful mom. This October, at the age of 42, she has been diagnosed with a aggressive form of sinus cancer - maxillary carcinoma, which cannot be treated in Ireland and has to instead be urgently treated over in a private clinic in Poland, called 'Klinika Nieborowscy'. This has been devastating news for us, after almost two years of her hospital treatment for what the Irish doctors have called a 'mild sinus infection that just won't go away - nothing to worry about'.

She has not been able to work over the past year due to the various, unsuccessful treatments, and on top of the already piling up costs of living, our family will not be able to come up with the required cost of the cancer treatment in time - the €50,000 split into an up front cost of €25,000 required by the date of the surgery expected to take place as soon as possible, and €25,000 post surgery.

She has always been the most thoughtful and giving person that I know in my life, and all I want is for her to look forward to the rest of her healthy life that this treatment will grant her.
