Help Denise Bader Kick Cancers Ass!!!

Thanks for taking time to read this and help support such an amazing person that I consider a sister to me. Here is Denise's story.
In September 2021, Denise Bader was diagnosed at the age of 37 with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Cancer. Neuroendocrine tumors are considered very rare and are the zebra of cancers because they are only found in 2% of ALL cancer patients. Denise is someone who lights up a room with her smile and her contagious laugh. She has such a positive attitude and outlook on life, and is always willing to help others. Now it’s our time to help her!
On October 25th she underwent the first surgery in her treatment plan. The surgery removed her pancreas, spleen, gallbladder, part of her stomach, and part of her intestines. The doctors believe they were able to remove all of the cancer as of now. She spent 3 days/nights in the ICU and has been moved to a regular room and hopefully will be able to go home soon. She will be insulin dependent, have lifelong meds, and a restricted diet, but will not need chemo or radiation at this time.
After Denise is released from the hospital she will be unable to work for at least 8 weeks. Anyone who knows Denise realizes how difficult this will be for her, as she loves her job and the friends she has made over the many years she has worked at Joe Rouer’s. We’re hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden that cancer has caused and the stress that comes with it.
In early 2022 Denise will need to have parathyroid surgery. And she may also need radiation to treat the glomus tumor at that time, but only if it grows (so fingers crossed it doesn’t and maybe an extra prayer).
Whether you are family, friends or may know Denise from her working at Joe’s or are just someone who has been touched by cancer, please send some prayers and love her way and consider making a donation.
We love you Denise and can’t wait for you to kick cancer in the ass!
