Medical Support for Jennifer

Dear friends and family,

We reach out to you today with a heartfelt request for support on behalf of our dear friend Jennifer, who is currently facing a significant medical challenge.

In late February 2023, Jennifer was admitted to the hospital due to severe abdominal pain, fever, and an inability to keep food down. She was eventually diagnosed with an extremely rare condition–a type of infection with only a few cases ever reported worldwide. Doctors have attempted multiple procedures and surgery to address the issue. Unfortunately, treatments have not been successful thus far, and her condition continues to baffle her doctors while they look for other solutions.

Jennifer now requires constant care and assistance, and her mother has lovingly stepped up to provide the support she needs, taking time off from work to be by her side. Currently, Jennifer has been in the hospital for almost a month, and her future course of action remains uncertain.

It is likely that Jennifer will need to be transferred to a specialized research hospital out of state for further treatment, or she may be sent home where she will need extensive care from health aides and her family. To help cover the costs of her medical expenses, support Jennifer and her mother during their time away from work, and address any travel expenses, we have set up this fundraiser. With so much unknown at the moment, this stress is not good for her recovery. We are asking for help to give Jennifer and her family a financial cushion as they face so much uncertainty. Our goal is to offer them some financial relief and peace of mind during this challenging time, allowing Jennifer to concentrate on healing and recovery.

Jennifer, who resides in Oklahoma City and works in the finance industry, has always been a source of inspiration for those around her. With a love for travel and exploring new cultures, she has lived in countries such as Japan, Korea, England, and Germany. A keen language learner, Jennifer is fluent in Japanese and continues to study new languages. Even in the hospital, she has still kept up her 1,000-day Duolingo streak! She is also passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. She is currently pursuing an MBA program, but sadly, her condition has forced her to put this on pause.

As a remarkable, intelligent, and motivated individual, Jennifer has always been there to love and support her friends and family. Now, it is our turn to rally around her as she navigates this difficult journey. Most importantly, we want to give her some level of comfort and security that she has not had since her admission to the hospital.
