Aggie Rings Around the World
Donation protected
The Aggie Network is global, and every Aggie traveler loves to tell their story of spotting an Aggie Ring in some far-flung corner of the world and the relationship that ensues.
International students are our global Aggie ambassadors, making up 8-9% of our current student body and hailing from more than 120 different nations. Additionally, out-of-state students are 5-6% of our student population, and come from all over the United States.
Imagine Aggie Rings worn proudly by recent graduates in every state and each of these 120 countries and how the Aggie Spirit would spread as a result.
Unfortunately, the $1,043 or $520 necessary for a men's/women's Aggie Ring is outside of the budget of many. The costs of being a student are often even greater for those Aggies not fortunate enough to be from the Lone Star State.
This fund enables me, Kevin Andrews '11, to identify current Aggie students who hail from outside of Texas who demonstrate Aggie Spirit through involvement, service, and passion, and gift these individuals with the Aggie Ring they might not ordinarily be able to purchase.
The initial goal will purchase three men's Aggie Rings, six women's Aggie Rings, or some combination thereof. Because GoFundMe takes out a percentage of all funds raised (about 8% of the total), I will match (offline) all gifts made at 10% of the total given (up to $1,000 contribution by me).
***For Thanksgiving Day ONLY, I'm matching all gifts made at 20%! Make your gift count by donating today!***
Your gift of your class year (eg. $11), a redass $76 (for 1876, the year A&M opened), or even $140 (for the number of years A&M has been open) makes a difference and gets us that much closer to putting an Aggie Ring on a deserving Aggie's hand.
Recipients will be selected based on their demonstrated adherance to the Aggie Core Values. Updates will be sent out to donors to let you know when they are selected and when they receive their Aggie Rings. Videos of their Aggie Ring Day will be posted for donors to watch - it will be as if you were there presenting them with their Aggie Ring yourself!
I hope that you will join with me and make a small gift today that has a direct impact on Aggies on a global scale. I'm willing to put up $1,000 of my own money to be able do do more for some amazing Aggies.
