Aggie Propulsion & Rocketry Lab (APRL) is a non-profit student-led organization whose goal is to design, manufacture, and test liquid fueled rockets on the collegiate scale. After performing the first static hotfire test of a liquid bipropellant rocket engine in UC Davis' history, APRL is now working towards iterating on their design and integrating their tested hardware into a flight-ready vehicle. Last year, we launched two subscale vehicles (including one that broke the sound barrier!) and performed three additional hotfires. Here is some video footage of last year's accomplishments:
Your tax-deductible donation will enable passionate UC Davis students to work together across science and engineering disciplines to design and launch a rocket and propulsion system. Students gain valuable experience in areas such as the engineering design process and hands-on manufacturing, as well as develop time management, writing, and communication skills through their time with our team. We strive to build a welcoming environment comprised of a diverse set of students who grapple with and solve complex problems.
Your contributions will fund equipment for our propellant feed system, necessary electrical hardware for our control system, and materials needed for our engine to withstand its harsh operating condition. You’ll be supporting the overall construction of UC Davis’ first ever liquid fueled rocket, which we plan to launch in Spring of 2026! Join us today with a gift of any size to Aggie Propulsion and Rocketry Lab to help future Aggie engineers fulfill their dream of reaching for the stars!
