G'day Age of Sigmar fans, supporters, and fellow wargaming enthusiasts!
Last year, the Australian Age of Sigmar World Championship Team came a respectable fourth—not bad, right? But we’re not here for “respectable.” This year, we’re going for the gold. After six months of blood, sweat, and dice rolls, we’re ready to bring home the trophy and show the world that Aussie players are a force to be reckoned with. But, as you can imagine, getting all the way to Austria—where the tournament is held—comes with a hefty price tag. And that’s where you come in.
We’ve trained hard, fought even harder, and now we’re asking you to help us get to the Age of Sigmar World Championships. With your support, we’ll prove that last year’s result was just the warm-up. Let’s make this happen, together!
The Journey So Far
Over the past six months, we’ve been relentlessly refining our skills, bonding as a team, and preparing for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We've trained together, played against the some of the best players in the world online, and pushed ourselves to new heights. Every victory and defeat has led us to this point: the chance to compete on the global stage and show the world that Australia has what it takes to take home this years trophy.
However, as with any ambitious endeavour, there are costs involved—particularly when it comes to travel. From flights to accommodation, registration, food, etc. - the financial burden of attending such a prestigious event is significant. That’s where you come in.
How You Can Help
We’re reaching out to you, our community of supporters, friends, family, and fellow Age of Sigmar enthusiasts, to help us alleviate some of the costs to make this incredible journey possible. Your support will go directly to the team, with funds being split equally to each team member. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact on our ability to compete.
For example:
- $10: That’s one beer for one of us to enjoy after a hard-fought battle!
- $25: That’s a portion of a meal we can share together as a team—fuelling the camaraderie that has gotten us this far.
- $50: That’s a small but crucial part of the travel or accommodation expenses that will bring us closer to the event.
- $100: That’s a significant contribution that can help secure our flights or help cover the cost of tournament entry fees.
- $500: You’ll not only help secure the team’s travel, but you’ll also be forever enshrined in our memories (and possibly our team chant). As a token of appreciation, we’ll even name a piece of our terrain “The [Your Name] Objective” at the tournament. So every time one of us rolls a 6, we’ll think of you—unless it’s a roll to run away. In that case, we’ll pretend we don’t know you.
Every dollar counts, and no matter the amount of generosity, we sincerely appreciate every bit of support as it takes us one step closer to representing Australia with pride and passion on the world stage.
