Help Save My Sweet Boy Benji

Hey everyone, I normally don’t come on here to ask for help, but I really need your support right now.

Yesterday, my big boy Benji was rushed to the emergency vet. He was having trouble breathing and just wasn’t himself. The news we received was devastating — Benji has been diagnosed with idiopathic chylothorax, a rare and serious condition that affects less than 1% of dogs.

The vets removed 3 liters of fluid from around his lungs and heart. Without surgery, his condition will continue to worsen. The surgery he needs is expensive, and his recovery will be long, but it’s the only way to save his life.

For those who know me, you know that Benji is my baby — my world. Seeing him like this is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m asking for any help you can give to help save my sweet boy’s life. Every donation, no matter the size, means the world to us.

Update for My Sweet Benji

I wanted to share an update on my beautiful, handsome Papa Mans. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to him on 11/11/25. His passing was very sudden and unexpected, and I am absolutely devastated. No one prepares you for how hard it is to make a decision like this.

Benji was so handsome—just a big, gentle baby who filled our lives with love. I can hardly find the words to express everything I feel, and even writing this breaks my heart.

I want to thank everyone who has shown us love and support over the past few weeks. Your kindness has meant so much during this painful time. I will be lowering the GoFundMe goal and leaving it up a little longer for anyone who would like to donate or share, so that we can bring Benji home. This has been an unexpected financial hardship, and we’ve done everything we can to make sure he’s taken care of.

Benji, I love you forever, my sweet Papa Mans. You were so loved, and you took a piece of me with you. I find comfort knowing you’re no longer suffering and that you’re running free, a happy boy, surrounded by our ancestors.
